Media services
The Media Services Department provides a full range of audiovisual services and support to students, faculty and staff. A collection of curriculum-based instructional aides and equipment are provided to support, supplement and enhance UOIT instructional programs and student presentations.
The following services are available to all students and faculty to assist with their classroom presentations:
- Classroom support
- No charge equipment rentals for classroom presentations
- No charge video/resource rental for classroom presentations
- Access to video preview rooms
- Video conference services
- Mediasite
Classroom Support
Step-by-step instructional sheets are provided in each classroom to guide you in the operation of the audiovisual equipment. Media Services technicians are also available for additional classroom support by contacting the following locations:

No-charge equipment rentals for classroom presentations
Equipment/resource materials can be booked, free of charge, for the duration of your classroom presentation. When reserving, please supply your valid student or staff Banner ID number.

Access to video preview rooms
Videos may be previewed at the north Oshawa campus, Gordon Willey building, Room A165 prior to booking.
Video conference services
Video conference services are shared with Durham College and are available at the north Oshawa campus, Durham College Student Services Building, Room SSB113A.
Mediasite
Lectures and special events can be recorded through Mediasite - a reliable and complete webcasting and knowledge management platform.
