Videoconferencing provides faculty and staff with real time interaction anywhere around the globe. Liaise, collaborate and communicate simultaneously while sharing video and data content for distance learning, meetings and interactions with other institutions.

What type of videoconferencing do I want?

  • Meeting with external attendees (via a UOIT conference room or classroom)

    HOW DO I SET IT UP?

    • Make the necessary arrangements to book the room.
    • Request a temporary videoconferencing account (bluejeans@uoit.net for Blue Jeans software only) to be set up in your name.
    • Account information and step-by-step instructions will be forwarded to you.
    • Email the IT Service desk to request a media service technician if you require further assistance.

    North Oshawa location

    Up to 4 locations

    • Make the necessary arrangements to book the room.
    • External attendees must be using the same videoconferencing equipment as the UOIT location.
    • A Service Desk request should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the videoconferencing date in order for remote location testing to be completed.
    • A media services technician will confirm if the request can be accommodated.
