VIRTUAL PRIVATE NETWORK (VPN)

FACULTY AND STAFF

The Global Protect Virtual Private Network (VPN) software allows faculty and staff to connect to UOIT resources even when they are off campus. All Global Protect VPN traffic will be routed through the UOIT network and is therefore subject to the University's Technology Use Policy.  Please review the chart below to determine if your UOIT resource will require access to VPN.

How to request and set up VPN access

1. Send a request for VPN access to the IT Service Desk.

2. Receive, complete and submit the VPN Request form.

3. Once your access has been approved, you will receive an email notification from the IT Service Desk.

4. Follow the instructions below to install the VPN client.
