Fall laptop distribution or laptop refresh (Full TELE students)

All undergraduate students participating in the Full TELE model are supplied with a university laptop to aid in everyday classroom activities, projects and assignments. Once you have registered for your courses through MyCampus, please see the details below regarding obtaining your UOIT laptop.  Review further details on laptop eligibility and refresh.

Date:  August 27 to September 28
Time:  Book your laptop pick up session through My Campus.
Location: Laptop Distribution Centre, North Oshawa library, lower level

 

Year one student

  • Register for a laptop pick up session.
  • Pay TELE fee (view fee tab under your specific faculty) by August 10.
  • Check requirements below if you are under 18 years of age.
  • Visit the laptop distribution centre during your scheduled time.
  • Come prepared with your campus ID.
  • Receive a UOIT laptop & backpack.
  • Same day service.

Year two student

  • Register for a laptop refresh session.
  • Pay TELE fee (view fee tab under your specific faculty) by August 10.
  • Back up all data and remove all external hardware (i.e. USBs, etc.)
  • Visit the laptop distribution centre during your scheduled time.
  • Come prepared with your campus ID.
  • Drop off your UOIT laptop for software refresh.
  • Pick up your laptop within 48 hours.

Year three student

  • Register for a laptop pick up/refresh session
  • Pay TELE fee (view fee tab under your specific faculty) by August 10.
  • Back up all data  and remove all external hardware (i.e. USBs, etc.)
  • Visit the laptop distribution centre during your scheduled time.
  • Come prepared with your campus ID.
  • Bring in your UOIT laptop and power adapter.
  • Receive a new laptop.
  • Same day service.

Year four student

  • Register for a laptop refresh session.
  • Pay TELE fee (view fee tab under your specific faculty) by August 10.
  • Back up all data  and remove all external hardware (.e. USBs, etc.)
  • Visit the laptop distribution centre during your scheduled time.
  • Come prepared with your campus ID.
  • Drop off your UOIT laptop for software refresh.
  • Pick up your laptop within 48 hours.

 

 

  • Under 18?

    Complete the Student Learning Tool Agreement available on the ITSC website.  Please ensure that your parent/guardian has signed the form and bring a printed, signed copy with you when you pick up your laptop.

  • DEADLINE for returning your laptop – December 21
    You must return your laptop to the IT Service Desk by December 21 if you are:
    • leaving the university.
    • changing programs for next term.
    • part-time in the fall term.
    • changing full or part-time status.
    • starting co-op/internship.
    If you are dismissed, suspended or leaving the university unexpectedly you must return the laptop immediately to the IT Service Desk.
