Winter Laptop Distribution 2019 (Laptop TELE students only)

Date:  January 3 to 18
Time:  Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Location:  Laptop Distribution Centre, North Oshawa Library, 3rd floor, LIB309

New students and re-admits in Laptop TELE model (starting courses in the winter term) are required to attend a laptop distribution session prior to start of classes. During distribution, students will receive a laptop (pre-loaded with course-specific software) with all necessary components for student success. This process will be completed on the same day.

Faculties participating in the Laptop TELE model:

  • Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science
  • Faculty of Energy Systems and Nuclear Science
  • Game Development program within Faculty of Business and IT
  • What should i do prior to picking up my laptop?

    Step 1:     Register for a laptop session through MyCampus.
    Step 2:     Pay the TELE fee. Visit Payment Options for further details.  Payments must be made at least five business days prior to the laptop pick-up. 
    Step 3:     Obtain your campus ID card at Campus ID office.

    Students under the age of 18 are required to submit the Student Learning Tool Agreement (SLTA) signed by a parent or guardian at the time of pick up.

  • Where do i pick up my laptop?

    Students should pick up their laptop at the following location:

    Laptop Distribution Centre
    North Oshawa Library,
    3rd floor,  Room LIB309 

    HOURS:  Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m

  • What should i remember?
    • Bring your campus ID.
    • Pick up your laptop in person.
    • UOIT backpacks  will be provided to new first-year students only.
  • How do i login to UOITnet?

    Newly admitted students must change the default network password prior to accessing the UOIT network, Blackboard and UOITnet email accounts. The default password can be found under the Important Information section after logging into MyCampus.

    Once you have changed your default network password, follow the Login Procedures to access your UOITnet account.

Please note: Only registered students may pick up the laptop and must do so in person; family members or friends are not permitted.
